Art, Wine, Shop, Dine Historic Downtown Petaluma Downtown has it all for visitors including the Theater District, a charming blend of vintage and modern ambience that adds to the downtown shopping experience.

Visitors can spend a delightful day or weekend discovering a large variety of locally-owned unique shops, galleries, antique stores, spas, movie theater, outlet mall, shopping areas and restaurants throughout Petaluma.

The Petaluma Museum gift shop at 20 Fourth Street offers just one of Historic Downtown's interesting shopping options.

A visit to either of the Petaluma Farmer's Market on Wednesday evenings in the summer and Saturday afternoons from May to Oct. offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase local handmade crafts, delicious baked goods, and fresh produce.

The Great Petaluma Mill, a Riverfront landmark at 6 Petaluma Blvd. No. and B Street contains four buildings, including Petaluma's oldest, an 1854 warehouse. Relics, antique machinery and photographs in the lobby tell the history of what was one of Northern California's largest feed mills. The Mill now houses The Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce, a fitness facility, and offers visitors specialty shopping and a choice of restaurants.

Across the street is the LanMart Building, a historic 1876 building at 29 Petaluma Blvd. No. that was formerly a livery stable and hotel and has been transformed into an array of unique shops and restaurants.

Head north on Petaluma Boulevard and find Petaluma Village Premium Outlets, with about 60 designer and name-brand outlet stores each offering savings of 25 to 65 percent.
