On April 6th, 1917, the USA declared war on Germany joining World War I. At that time, hundreds of Petaluma boys registered for the draft, and over seventy five Petaluma men and women answered the call to serve their country abroad. This April, on the 100th Anniversary of America’s entry into the war, we honor their sacrifice, showcasing information and artifacts about World War I. The exhibit will focus on America’s participation as a whole as well as a Petaluma Perspective through music, letters, newspapers and more. See website for exhibit events. Opening Reception on April 2 at 1pm.
