The San Francisco Yiddish Combo will be headlining the second year of this festival, and will be joined by internationally-traveling cantorial soloist and Acapella music performer Stephen Saxon, and guest speaker Dr. Elaine Leeder, professor emerita of Sociology from Sonoma State University will be giving a humorous talk.
The afternoon will begin with a performance by Stephen Saxon, who has created a unique cycle of songs that reference traditional Jewish music in an exciting new way built around his well-known powerful bass vocal skills. This will be followed by a short humorous talk from Dr. Leeder on the expressiveness of the Yiddish language. To finish the afternoon, the San Francisco Yiddish Combo will perform a wild Klezmer concert.
This event is appropriate for all ages.
