Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti celebrates our city’s starring role in movie history. Filmed in 1972, director George Lucas used Petaluma streets for many of the iconic movie’s most memorable scenes.

Now these same streets draw thousands of visitors from across the country and the world to Petaluma for the family-friendly, alcohol-free car show…and it’s all for a good cause.

On Saturday, May 18th, than 400 classic American cars with hoods open and polished chrome sparkling in the sunlight will line downtown streets. Tune your radio to XERB 88.1 and enjoy classic drive-in fare at Mel’s Burger City.

Sponsored by Cruisin’ the Boulevard, an all volunteer non-profit, “Salute” was created by a group of classic car enthusiasts and fans of American Graffiti. Proceeds are invested in community projects benefitting arts, education, safety and welfare.
